Rock The Kasbah 2011

Overview

Rock the Kasbah is a fundraiser that Richard Branson's foundation, Virgin Unite, will hold in Los Angeles on November 16th. This year we are focusing on building opportunity, especially for youth in America who face unprecedented unemployment.

This is a special family affair. Inspired by the opportunity to create a better future for young people, we like to bring the Virgin companies, outside businesses, entrepreneurs, artists and celebrities together for an evening of dinner and music to rally support for some powerful programs. The proceeds go to create opportunities for vulnerable young people in the US and to Richard Branson’s mother’s organization, The Eve Branson Foundation. They do amazing things in Morocco empowering young women in villages with the tools and skills to improve their own lives. More on the causes here >

Rock the Kasbah is all about this kind of innovation, and it will launch Richard and Virgin Unite’s campaign in America next year to create a global network of entrepreneurship and new opportunity. Give opportunity here >

There are a number of ways to get involved, from simply purchasing a ticket, to becoming the title sponsor. Those who are committed to using business as a force for good will receive prominent placement throughout the event and mentions from the stage and in all materials, media opportunities (including with Richard) and more.

Beyond that, the night will be amazing! Richard himself calls this one of the best parties he's ever been to. Here's why:

The Entertainment

The 2011 Rock the Kasbah is very proud to announce 9-Grammy Award winner Mary J. Blige to perform a "sneak peek" at her new album "My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act I)"! To top it all off, celebrity DJ Chris Holmes (ashtar command) will keep the music going all night!
